I thought it was time to re-establish an online blog presence. So here I am! This blog will be a collection of poetry and prose, delineating my thoughts from week to week. I hope this site encourages you, makes you think, and gives you insight into my mind. Enjoy this poem I wrote for an online community to introduce myself:
Age is graven in my face
But God has blessed me with his grace
By letting me lose lots of weight
Once again I have a waist!
Hair grown out from a pixie cut
Once purple, now lines of gray show up.
Left hand bears a wedding ring
34 years I’ve been married to him.
Knees are sometimes bent in pain.
Walking to make them strong again
First wore glasses in second grade
Now progressive lenses take their place.
Wait until you see me smile:
An empty-nester all the while.
New job, new city, and new house:
Dancing at sunset with my spouse.
