Before time began,
Life was in God’s mind.
He created everything
The universe to humankind.

After everything He made,
He pronounced, “It is good.”
Until He made us in His image:
He said we were “Very Good.”

He put us in His garden
Filled with glorious delights.
We walked and talked with Him.
Everything was just right.

He gave us but one rule:
Don’t eat fruit from this tree.
After a time, our choice was made.
It impacted creation’s destiny.

Death came. Everything was hard.
Relationships. Working the land.
Childbirth. Mosquitos and weeds.
All part of God’s perfect plan.

Nothing was the same, and yet
Everything was still good.
Look around: what do you see?
You still can enjoy the view.

Not just what you see in your yard.
Look at the smile on a child’s face.
The stars, sun, wind and rain.
Everything is still in its place.

Think about the Creator
His joy in what’s He’s made.
Do you ever wonder if He says
Each morning “Do it again!”?

A sunrise. The song of a bird.
A perfect sunset. Love.
A hug between family.
Oh yeah. “Do it again!”

Of course the earth was changed
In the aftermath of the fall.
Good things still surround us.
Redemption. God will restore it all.
